Tidbix DMCA & Copyright Policy

Tidbix respects copyright and expects members to do the same. We respond to notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512).

Reporting infringement

If you believe content on Tidbix infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our copyright agent containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  3. Identification of the infringing material and where it is on the Service (a URL to the post, brief, or profile).
  4. Your contact information (address, phone, email).
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are (or are authorized to act for) the copyright owner.

Misrepresenting a claim can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. §512(f)).

What we do with a valid notice

We remove or disable access to the identified material promptly, notify the member who posted it, and record the strike.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send our agent a counter-notice with: your signature; identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury of your good-faith belief the removal was mistaken; your name, address, and phone; and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the US, for Tarrant County, Texas) and to accepting service from the complainant. Unless the complainant files a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of members who are repeat infringers.
